MSc/Postgraduate Diploma in Drug and Alcohol Studies 2012-13

This exciting programme builds on ten years of Postgraduate Education in Addiction studies delivered by STRADA and the University of Glasgow. The Masters and Postgraduate Diploma has been  developed for people interested in advancing their understanding of drug and alcohol issues. Students undertaking the Masters will have the opportunity to undertake a significant research project of their choice. A distinctive feature of the programme is on encouraging a critical reflection of practice in relation to the literature, research, findings and policy.

Entry Requirements
You would normally be expected to hold a degree in a relevant subject for the Masters/Postgraduate Diploma programme i.e. 2.1 Honours degree or equivalent qualification (for example, GPA 3.0 or above) in a relevant subject.

Fees
For UK/EU students, the cost of the full MSc is £4,750. For UK/EU students, the cost of the full Postgraduate Diploma is £3,167. Please note, if you undertake the MSc/Postgraduate Diploma over 2/3 years, the fees will be staggered over 3 years and not paid up front.
 
Funding
     
  • Eligible (Scottish domiciled and EU) full-time or part-time students who have accepted a postgraduate place on a course eligible for a postgraduate loan can apply directly to the Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS) for a loan to cover up to £3,400 towards their tuition fees.  The application form will be available to download from April 2012.  Prospective students should monitor the SAAS website
